Third Annual Air Expo

We hope you enjoy the slideshow of pictures from the 3rd Annual Expo.  Depending on your internet connection speed, you may have to wait a few moments for the show to start, but it's definitely worth it!

The 3rd Annual Air Expo was held Saturday, January 26, 2008 from 1:00 - 4:00 pm at the North Carolina Arboretum.  A keynote address was given by Asheville City Mayor Terry Bellamy.

There were over 100 students, parents, and teachers at the Air Expo, and awards were given to 38 winning students from Cane Creek Middle School, Apple Valley Middle School, Hendersonville Middle School, and Erwin Middle School.  Four local high school students were awarded scholarships of varying amounts in the Air Pollution Solution Contest, including Elana Evans, the winner of The Rick Maas Scientific Method Award, and Tanya Widen, the winner of the Nann Guthrie Community Award.  Congratulations winners and thank you to all participating teachers, guidance counselors, and students who showcased their best creative work in the AQ-IQ and Air Pollution Solution contests.
