In 2005, the Clean Air Community Trust helped design a certification course for REALTORS that would provide:

• Education in important environmental topics pertinent to real estate transactions

• Distinction from their colleagues as a valuable resource to buyers and sellers

• A collection of contact information at the tip of their fingers

This program will ultimately lead to:

• Knowledgeable and informed decision-making by homeowners

• Shared concerns for improving environmental quality and cooperative efforts initiated by business professionals as well as the general public

• A sustainable community wherever ECO agents are found

The ECO Certification for REALTORS has already been completed by a quite a few local agents and others are soon to be added to the list.  If you are looking for a special brand of real estate agents to handle your business, look no further than Asheville's ECO Agents. 

This certification has been approved in North Carolina and will soon be offered throughout the state.  It is the first of its kind in the nation and breaks new ground in environmental education for working adults.
