  Climate Neutral Events

A Climate Neutral Event can be a...

               - wedding

               - conference

               - family reunion

               - birthday or anniversary gathering

or any other event where individuals are traveling to the same location by car or plane.

The event can become "climate neutral" when the air pollution created by the travel to the event is offset in some other way, such as installing a certain number of energy efficient light bulbs.  By doing this, the air pollution created by power plants is reduced from the saving of energy by the compact fluorescent light bulbs.  Neutralizing an event can save tons of carbon dioxide from leaking into the atmosphere and adding to global warming.

The Clean Air Community Trust will provide you with the necessary number of compact fluorescent light bulbs to offset the emissions created by travel to your event.  You can give these to your event guests to take home with them, purchase them for your home or business, or donate them back to CACT and we will make sure they are put to good use!  Call us at (828) 258-1856 or e-mail info@airtrust.org

One quick and easy way to calculate your travel emissions is with our Climate Calculator or contact us if you prefer and CACT staff will do all the calculating for you.  Make a statement with your event and make it a climate neutral one.
