compact fluorescent lights, they use about one quarter the energy of a standard light
bulb. Initially, the bulbs seem expensive but they more than pay for themselves over their
long life span. |

Help
the CACT encourage compact fluorescent bulbs by sponsoring a
CFL fundraiser. |

Drive
the newest and most fuel efficient car you own. Keep the engine tuned up and the tires
properly inflated. |

Drive
less by combining errands, carpooling, telecommuting, walking, biking or riding the bus. |

Limit
idling - it is always more efficient to turn the car off. Park and go in places instead of
using drive-thrus. |

Live
near your work and help make a "walkable" community in your area. |

Continue
to educate yourself on clean air issues and let your elected officials know that it is
important to you that they support clean air policies and legislation. |
