Join other carpoolers across WNC!

So now you know a little about Share the Ride NC, but why should you use it? What's in it for you? Well...

   *  SAVE MONEY ON GAS

   *  REDUCE COMMUTE STRESS

   *  SAVE WEAR AND TEAR ON YOUR CAR

Besides taking less than 5 minutes to sign up at www.sharetheridenc.org, sharing a ride to work or school, even a couple of days a week, can really make a difference in the air quality in western North Carolina.

The average commute for WNC residents is around 20 miles which costs an average of $1,300 per year! You can cut this in half by carpooling with one other person.

Share the Ride NC gives you complete control over which carpool match you choose to connect with. We advise meeting in a public place and setting guidelines that will be followed ahead of time (type of music, whether smoking is allowed, sharing of gas expenses, etc.)

Make sure you register your working carpool with CACT to be eligible for the Emergency Ride Home Program. Contact us with any un-answered questions at (828) 258-1856 or ride@airtrust.org.
